Cheryl J Muldrew-McMurtry is an accountant, financial educator, speaker and senior executive with an expertise in managerial accounting, financial and strategic planning, data analysis, risk management and taxes. A native of Chicago, Illinois, Cheryl graduated from Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee May 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. After graduation, Cheryl relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to begin her career at Firstar Corporation (now US Bank) as a Financial Analyst. Cheryl’s career continued to flourish providing her the opportunity to work for a number of for profit and non-profit organizations in southeastern Wisconsin which includes Time Warner Cable, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, WTMJ-4, Darrell Lynn Hines College Preparatory Academy of Excellence and World Outreach & Bible Training Center where she has served as the Chief Financial Officer for twelve years.
In March of 2004, Cheryl founded McMurtry Financial Services, LLC and serves as the President of the organization. With over 27 years of experience Cheryl's mission is to provide financial controls and integrity for small business and non-profit organizations locally and nationally. Cheryl offers an array of services that also includes financial education and seminars for individuals, small groups, and civic organizations.
Cheryl is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals and the African American Chamber of Commerce Milwaukee. She serves as the Treasurer of the Board for Artworks for Milwaukee and is a Finance Committee member for the Milwaukee Teacher Education Center.
She is the wife of her loving husband Timothy L. McMurtry, II and has two beautiful children, Joshua and Layla.
